Born in Indonesia, Melivia Raharjo is currently working as a staff pianist in Cleveland Institute of Music, where she previously studied with Anita Pontremoli for her Master’s and Artist Diploma in Collaborative Piano. She discovered her passion in collaborating with other musicians when she was studying in Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore before coming to the United States. Since then, she has performed in chamber performances with renowned artists such as the Takács Quartet, Roger Vignoles, Jaime Laredo, Olga Dubossarskaya Kaler, Mark Kosower and Richard Weiss.
Last year she participated in the Music Academy of the West summer music festival and won the Duo Competition with violist Keoni Bolding. As part of the prize, they performed a recital in Santa Barbara in April 2022. She was also the pianist for the cello masterclass program in Hidden Valley Music Seminar this summer.
Performing with other musicians passionate about music always brings so much joy to her life. She hopes that their performances can inspire others to play more chamber music in the future.
