The International Violin Competition of Indianapolis (IVCI), known affectionately as the “Olympics of the Violin,” brings worldwide recognition and cultural acclaim to Indiana. Founded in 1982, the Competition is heralded by the music and media communities as one of the premier competitions in the world.

One of the educational components of the IVCI is the Juried Exhibition of Student Art (JESA), a multi-disciplinary educational program designed to integrate the disciplines of the performing, literary and visual arts.

The artwork featured on this notecard is one of the thirty 2026 Streeter Hadley Matthews Grand Award Winners, selected from over 11,000 registrations by elementary through high school students representing 119 schools across 54 Indiana counties.

The Grand Award Ceremony took place at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 3 at the Indiana Landmarks Center, located at 1201 Central Avenue, Indianapolis.
