Known throughout the world simply as The Indianapolis, the 12th Quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis will take place September 17 through October 4. The Indianapolis is proud to once again attract the international cultural spotlight to our great city for nearly three weeks.
The Opening Ceremonies will take place on Thursday, September 17 at Newfields and we invite the public to join the festivities in The Amphitheater, Newfields’ giant, terraced space, famous for the Summer Nights Film Series.
Experience the grandeur of the Opening Ceremonies filled with emotion, pride and pageantry as we present the Participants in a parade of nations, introduce the illustrious jury members, delight in musical fanfares and many additional surprises!
There are two ticket options for the evening.
CONCERT PATRON

At the conclusion of the ceremony, patrons will remain and be treated to a concert by the Grammy and Emmy-winning ensemble and Indy favorite Time for Three (TF3).
